The idea for the mobile-first platform came in 2015, and eventually, after continuous changes to meet market needs, it was formally founded in 2019.

As per the founder & CEO, Tewari, Glance has always kept a simple aim: provide visually rich content.

What makes it unique is that the platform is not an app. The platform comes pre-installed on mobile phones manufactured by Samsung, Xiaomi, Gionee, and Vivo, offering curated content to users on their lock screens.

As per Tewari, the service has been “built in India and for India.” The AI-powered platform provides high-quality content across 19 categories and is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and also in the Indonesian language, Bahasa.

Glance witnessed immense growth after the Chinese platform, TikTok was banned in India. This created a chance for the platform to fill in the void set by TikTok.

Owing to its easy accessibility, it has become a popular platform for users, with users spending an average of 22 minutes of their time on Glance.
