It is a tool/circle representing the relationships between various colors. It helps us in achieving different color schemes & combinations. It comprises 12 basic colors, which, when combined in perfect harmony, provides you with thousands of various tones and tints.

What is a hue?
The purest form of color is a hue, and it is also the dominant color family when we are trying to mix colors.
What is a tint?
When the color white is added to a hue, we get a tint. A tint is the lighter form of a color, but it doesn’t make it bright.

What is a shade?
Try adding black to a hue, the outcome of this mixing is called a shade, & the shade is the darker form of a color. There are many applications & tools that come real handy. To pick a particular color from an image, they can easily generate multiple combinations.

What is the Adobe Color Wheel?
It is an online tool that helps you choose & create harmonious color schemes & combinations for designing user interfaces. It has various color schemes pre-defined, analogous, complementary, etc. also, the option is to choose tint or shade(color).

You need to select the color scheme, and the wheel automatically highlights the places where the corresponding colors are placed. E.g. In the case of a complementary color scheme, it arranges the indicators on the colors placed exactly opposite to each other.
