In my last post, I wrote about dealing with anxiety. Today I'm writing about the common signs you suffer from anxiety. I'm not a professional and therefore can not diagnose. Here are some common signs you are struggling. If you find that it resonates with you please seek help.

Experiencing some anxiety is a part of life however it can become a bit more concerning and lead to something much bigger. Here are a few signs to look for if you feel your anxiety is more then just a common part of your life.

1. Intrusive thoughts

You know the thoughts that aren't supposed to be there. That isn't like you but you think it and feel bad about it, yes those are called intrusive thoughts, they are pretty normal and a sign of anxiety.

2. Increased fatigue

You feel tired all the time no matter what, you sleep 12 hours but yet you are still exhausted. It's exhausting having anxiety, our bodies are in a near-constant state of arousal waiting to trigger the flight or fight response.

3. Insolation

Are you scared to go somewhere or make plans because so and so will happen, you would rather be at home, alone where it's safe and nothing bad will happen. This is a sure sign of anxiety, you isolating your self to avoid whatever fear your anxiety made you have.

4. Mood changes

Do you feel restless, fidgety, tense, and get frustrated easily when you didn't in the past?

Anxiety affects and changes a lot about you, it can turn you from the kindest person ever to the meanest but remember you don't have to live with these feelings forever.

5. Insomnia

This one aligns with fatigue, are your thoughts racing so much that you can't sleep, you think about everything you did or may have said wrong during the day, and it's keeping you up till early hours in the morning, that's a sign of anxiety.

Our thoughts shouldn't keep us awake or prevent us from doing things, when that starts happening it could be anxiety. Although its scary and daunting help is always available. Anxiety may be scary to navigate but once treated it becomes a lot less scary.
