Bedworth, England: Sculptor David Best created 1,000 wooden carvings with notes from those who lost loved ones. The sculptures were pieced together into a 65-foot tall structure called "Sanctuary at the Miner's Welfare Park" and ceremonially set on fire to show releasing grief.

Bergamo, Italy: "The Wood of Memory" is a forest of seedlings planted in honor of the over 100,000 COVID-19 victims in Italy.
