I'm learning to maximize credit cards and reward miles using the 10x Travel Method and saving all the acronyms found in the 10x FB Group to this Memo to help me keep track all the vitals. Need a quick reference? Save this Memo. Did I miss any? Comment below. Thanks!

5/24: This is the rule that Chase bank sets that you can open no more than 5 new credit cards every 24 months. The 5/24 Rule could be why Chase will not approve a new card request.

AAoA: Average Age of Accounts is a major factor in your credit score. It's how long, on average, you have had each of your credit card accounts.

AU: Authorized user is someone else named on your credit card but not a primary holder. Think a credit card for your spouse or kid but you are primary.

CK: Credit Karma - good resource for quick, free credit score monitoring, though not official FICO score.

CPP: Cents per point. This is used to find the monetary value of reward points. Divide the cash value of a redemption by the number of points/miles required to book it. This will tell you the CPP.

BCP- An American Express card
CSR- Chase Sapphire Reserved
CSP- Chase Sapphire Preferred
MR- American Express' Membership Rewards program
TYP - Citibank's thank you points program
UR- Chase's ultimate rewards program

HH: Hilton Honors reward program
IHG: Intercontinental Hotel Group

FF: Frequent flyer miles are points/miles awarded by any agency for travel purchases.

SUB: Sign up bonus - these are the incentives or rewards given by any card as a thank you for opening a new account. They typically require a minimum number of purchases within a certain amount of time to qualify.
