1. Self-made millionaires are constantly learning: Almost all of them were perpetual learners, they were actively involved in improving themselves every single day through books, and online courses, learning new skills to keep themselves relevant in the information economy.

2. Self-made millionaires listen more than they talk: One strategy that came up many times during his interviews was the “5:1 listening rule.” In group settings, for every minute they spoke, the millionaires listened for five minutes. That gives them an edge over others.

Listening is a great way to get fresh perspectives, ideas, and feedback. It also makes other people feel important and strengthens work and personal relationships. 81% said that they actively sought feedback from others every day, both inside and outside of the workplace.

3. Self-made millionaires build great teams: In the research, Tom found that 86% of these millionaires worked 50 hours per week, but they didn't work alone. They capitalized on their strengths and delegated their weaknesses.
