Be good: 9 kinds of content to avoid on Memo’d

We believe in freedom of speech for our creators, so in most cases you can say what you like as long as it's well-reasoned.

We hope your Memos will be in line with the spirit of the platform i.e. educative 🧑‍🎓 and inspiring 💡 

Problems start when content is infringement, deliberate spam, or abusive. There’s a chance we’ll remove or block this content, and it may be flagged or reported by other users. 

Things to steer clear of on Memo’d:

Pornographic content, either in words or images.

Content that deliberately incites violence or hate, or that depicts strong violence.

Content, including comments, that aims to harass or victimize creators or other commenters. 

Marketing or promotional content (you can include links to your content elsewhere e.g. Substack, blog, website).

Spam or automated content.

Text 📖 that is owned or copyrighted by a person, company or institution. Unless it is short quotes, you need their permission to publish.

Images 🖼️ that are owned or copyrighted by a person, company or institution.

Private information such as emails, messages, photos which the owner has not given you permission to publish.

Content that is classified by a government (we are not Wikileaks 😉)
