The 1 by Taylor Swift #MemodWriteToWin

Taylor Swift’s song called The 1 is the feeling of nostalgia. Whenever I listen to this song it makes me want to look back on old relationships and remember the good times.

“We were something, don't you think so.” To start this lyric explains how in the beginning everything was great, the honeymoon phase.

Once there's one little problem people start to realize the other person wasn’t who they thought they were the whole time.

“And if my wishes came true, it would’ve been you.” I think everyone who first gets out of a relationship wishes it worked out, going back to the beginning or middle finding where it all went wrong.

 “If one thing had been different, Would everything be different today?” This ties into what I was saying before. What would happen if we never met. Where would I be today?

“And it would've been sweet, if it could've been me.” This lyric is really so sweet. Especially when the person you loved the most moves onto someone else. 

 “But we were making it count.” The 1 is obviously a break up song but I think this lyric is one of the more happier lyrics. You may not have known you relationship was going to end but at least you doing the most and getting the most out of it by making it count.

“Been saying "yes" instead of "no".” This line is the second lyric in the song and I think it’s one the best. A lot of people struggle with being able to say no to people because they’ll feel guilty, I myself have this problem.

The way Taylor added this lyric makes it feel like we are seen and it just means so much. When she writes lyrics like this I think it reminds us that she went through all of the stuff we go through. 

Taylor Swift’s music has an impact on everyone no matter who you are. She has at least one song you can relate to and I think The 1 is a very relatable song especially if you recently have gotten out of a relationship.
