For contemporary Western democracies, the idea of a kingdom can be difficult to grasp. People are used to electing their officials to run their country as they see fit.

To suddenly become royalty might seem like a dream to some people. But it should make us ask larger questions. What would you do if you had a kingdom? What would it look like? What values would guide it? What would Jesus say about such a kingdom?

In order to have a kingdom, you have to have a monarch who reigns over all, therefore the kingdom of God could be interpreted the rule of God or the reign of God
