Follow six things when you leave your job -

Do not antagonize your co-workers

The world is a small place. People know each other in the job market irrespective of the field.

There is a high chance that you will run into your co-workers in the future. So be kind while you are still in the job.

Do not bad-mouth your company in public

Be careful of what you say in public. When two people leave a company and one decides to bad-mouth, and the other exits without drama, the latter has more future opportunities.

Anyone who bad-mouths their past company loses their chance to return if there is a leadership/any other role in the future.

People who leave elegantly are considered respected alumni. The company’s doors are open for them.

Don’t take revenge

Once you quit, all the problems you had at your workplace are gone. Revenge will only worsen your ties and has no benefit.

Bring your concerns to the table with calm and compassion. Exit interviews are not to discuss your grudges or frustrations.

Don't leave abruptly, follow the exit process

Even though the company doesn’t depend on you for everything, it is crucial to serve the notice period.

 It gives them time to find your replacement, finish a smooth project handover and let their processes function properly.
