Founded in 2014 by three former college classmates, Abhinav Shashank, Kanav Hasija, and Sandeep Gupta, Innovaccer has offices in San Francisco, India, and the United Arab Emirates.

While co-founder Abhinav is the CEO, co-founders, Kanav and Sandeep are the CCO and CTO of Innovaccer respectively.

Abhinav and Kanav are both IIT-Kharagpur alumni, whereas Sandeep has studied from IIM-Ahmedabad.

The idea for Innovaccer came to Abhinav while he was working on a project at Harvard. With this project, his aim was to bridge the gap between digital health and healthcare.

The three discovered that the healthcare industry had been struggling to manage and use the vast amount of data generated by electronic patient records (EHRs).
