When you are beginning to delve into the world of consciously building your personal brand, you will be hit with a ton of distractions, ideas, and strategies. This is why at my firm, we’ve come up with these 4 questions which are a pillar of sorts to everything we do.

What do I mean by “consciously building your personal brand?” Every single person from the beginning of time has had a personal brand, but only 99.99% of people have ever been aware of the power their own has. The conscious creation and direction of their name and reputation.

Q1: What is personal branding? 💼
Your personal brand is YOU! It transcends social media and is a cumulation of everything you’ve done, what people think of when you’re brought up, your name, actions, brand, all of it.

Q2: Why do you want to grow your personal brand? 🏗️
What are you looking to get out of it? Fame or vanity? Drive revenue or make $$$? Drive attention to a cause you care about? A combination of?

Q3: What do you want to be known for?
Outside of you, there needs to be something of authority and credibility to your name. Something you align yourself with more than other things. I’m primarily a businessman, but I also am a podcast host, author, investor, among other things.

Think about Sylvester Stallone, you know him for his roles in the movies, but he’s a writer, performer, poet. The Rock is an actor, but is also a serial entrepreneur. Donald Trump was a RE Developer before anything else.

Q4: How do you get there?
There are strategies that generation results directly and indirectly. Incorporate a mixture of these. Calling someone may generate a sale faster than by doing a podcast interview, although the interview builds credibility over time.
