Sentience
Imagine someone who doesn't feel sad, angry, anxious, uncertain and vulnerable. Beautiful, isn't it? Now ask yourself; would they be able to feel happy, pleased, calm, certain and confident? Maybe, but they wouldn't know the difference. What a waste of human sentience!

Grief
To eat is natural, to feel hungry again is equally natural; to love is natural, to lose is natural, and to miss is natural too. Someone who tells you to be indifferent to human emotions is only ascertaining that you lose touch with the salt of human existence. Savor it!

Sadness is the anchor of Happiness
What would you be without knowing darkness, sadness or regrets? You'd be an ugly specimen, because then you wouldn't know affection, empathy, kindness, faith, hope, and generosity; outwardly human, with a stony heart, vain and arrogant.

We learn through pain
Pain is the brimstone of human values. It imparts the most important lessons. It helps us discover ourselves, in our quest to find the perfect antidote, which sadly doesn't exist. The void left behind by pain are receptacles of new experiences. Carpe diem!

Appearing human is not shameful
Cry, shout, thrash around in agony, swear and kick at nobody in particular, ventilate and speak. You may be broken, but these are ways to repair yourself. Don't be tough, be resilient. Gather your pieces again and start. Learn to acknowledge.

Take your time
Don't compare yourself with anyone in either good times or bad ones. It's your rose, your snow and your path, drop the flower in remembrance wherever you want to. You don't need to please anyone by moving on. It is a silly notion. Wait as long as you need to.

Salt
All the spices in the world won't matter without salt. Similarly, all our good experiences and conquests wouldn't matter without the bad ones and our failures. We juxtapose one against another to get a rounded taste. Live, love, lose, mourn and repeat. Never stop the cycle.

Open up
Opening up to life is all power is about. Oceans are the most powerful natural formations, because they can take everything. They are magnanimous because they don't reject a single thing. Be open like the vast blue and believe in your ability to bounce back. Hope.

Today is the last day
This might be the last day for you, your loved ones or the whole world. Why then waste the only chance to make it memorable? If times are difficult, smile because it is still the last day of having to endure. If not, you still have a chance tomorrow.
