Have you ever wondered, in the lonesome hours spent in your room, what does life mean? What's its purpose? And how the hell are we suppose to achieve this purpose, it seems out of reach because given that we don't know what it is, how are we going to grab it?

Well, to be honest even I don't know what it all means? I mean sure I have heard some very interestingly intriguing arguments, I believe it was Pluto who said that once we die we will become brains who will talk freely, ugh could you think about that, how ugly will we look.

Then the Greeks died, and came the Romans, with them came Christianity, with the idea of the after life, one might argue that the idea of afterlife and heaven and hell existed before Christianity, the idea that after you die you go to hell or heaven.

But, I don't think that's a valid argument. to quote Alex J. O'Connor "What crime is so big, that it makes you deserving of eternal hellfire?"

Luckily, the philosophers also provide us with an alternative to this devastatingly sad and depressing narrative. This alternative narrative purposes that nothing matters. Everything is insignificant and we are just useless matter waiting to die and become dust.

This idea also purposes that there is no such thing as morals and ethics. That it is stupid to follow traditions, and that we shouldn't follow norms because then we will morph into our parents. And who wants that.

This idea is known as Nihilism, and it has been around for quite some time. And I really agree with it. Let me convince you as well. Imagine that you are in an ocean, and suddenly a whale comes in front of you out of nowhere, what would you be in comparison to that whale?

One might argue, this is what our planet looks like compared to Jupiter, and what Jupiter looks like compared to our son, so on and so forth. So think about that, I mean if we compare the two last things on this theoretical list, where do you think you will be compared to them?

And that's why I believe in Nihilism. Because no matter what I do it doesn't matter in the grand calculus of things. I am just an in significant little piece of matter drifting away, waiting to become sand. My actions do not impact the outcome of the universe.

But there is a silver lining in all this. If my actions don't matter, it means the only thing that matters is that I am happy, I can do whatever I want because that wouldn't effect the movement of starts, or rising of the oceans. So, I should always give it my all to be happy.
