Prior to his death in 2011, all allegations against Savile were deemed to have insufficient evidence for prosecution. However in 2012, ITV released a documentary titled The Other Side of Jimmy Savile which revealed that up to 10 women reported being molested by JImmy Savile.

Further, Savile's relationship with the BBC Network seemed to point to a cover up, as the allegations of his misconduct were never brought to the public. In fact, BBC Newsnight investigated allegations against Savile, but withdrew the interviews and never made them public.

By November of 2012 police report Savile had as many as 450 potential victims. 82% of the reports were from females, and 80% of them were children at the time of the incidents. There were also reports of necrophiliac acts with corpses from the Leeds General Mortuary.

Even with over 200 recordings of the offenses, and reports to 28 different police forces, somehow the allegations were all kept largely hidden until 2012. After the BBC and other networks finally publicized the reports, many signs, statues and orgs removed Savile's name.
